Liverpool Township Trustees gratefully announce the receipt of a grant from the state of Ohio.

Work is now underway to stabilize, renovate and restore our only remaining one-room schoolhouse. When completed, the school will be used for historical events – and a vital piece of history will be perpetuated.

The grant was part of a larger one received from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. The larger grant was open to all Medina County historical museums. It was spearheaded by our Medina representatives to Ohio government – Rep. Steve Hambley, Rep. Darrell Kick and Senate President Larry Obhof.

Liverpool’s portion is for $25,000 with another $12,500 to come from local matching funds. Funds can be in cash or kind donations like, for example, providing materials or skilled labor.

The Liverpool Historical Society was instrumental in obtaining the grant and has collected part of the in kind funds. They are grateful for those many who have already donated to this cause. If you are interested in a donation, contact Township Trustee Paul Schaefer at 330-635-1023.
