The K9 Spa is a full-service grooming shop, located on College Street in Wadsworth. Jasara James has owned the business since February, and loves what she does.

Before going into business, she took a 12-week course on professional pet grooming and learned about animal safety, first aid and interacting with dogs.

"I am adamant about being safe with the dogs and handling them in a calm environment," she said.

All of the services James offers are for pets, rather than show dogs. Services include bathing, hair cuts and nail clipping.

She is confident in her ability to clip almost any dog's nails, and emphasizes the need for owners to maintain their dog's nails.

"If dogs are walking on their nails, it will affect every joint up to their shoulder," said James.
