Integrity Metals Foundry and Mill Shippers, located at 355 Lake Road, Unit D in Medina, is a great place to take scrap metal of all kinds.
The company will accept all types of scrap metal, including aluminum, brass, copper and more. Traditional scrap items include aluminum cans, copper plumbing, brass fittings and electrical materials.
Integrity Metals is under the ownership of Randy LeBoeuf, who has been at the head of the organization for 10 years.
With just 10 employees working on site, the crew sorts, cuts and packages all the materials that come in, and prepares them to go to the foundries. Once at the foundries, the metal is melted down to be made into new products.
According to Shannon Price, office manager for Integrity Metals, the economy has played a role in generating business in the recycling industry. Copper is one of the higher priced items that customers bring in, but many are finding that other materials also bring in some extra money.
"We pay top dollar no matter how much you bring in," said Price. "If it is five pounds or 2,000 pounds, we pay the same price per pound."
The company also does industrial pickups. For large quantities that customers bring in themselves, there are outdoor scales on site. On-site metal testing is available as well for an added convenience.
Recycling all types of materials has recently picked up, as people all over the country are working hard to live a more "green" lifestyle. Integrity Metals can play an important role in that mission.
"People can bring their aluminum pop cans in for us to recycle them. Instead of having them go sit in the landfill forever, you can bring it here and it won't go into a landfill. We can recycle it and then it can be made into something new and be reused," said Price.
Recycling leftover materials keeps the scrap out of landfills, and removes potentially hazardous materials that could otherwise contaminate the land, air and water.
So, whether you are looking for a way to protect the environment or looking to get rid of old materials and make a few extra bucks, Integrity Metals has the customer service and the convenient location to accommodate any size or quantity of scrap metal.
Through the end of July, Integrity Metals is offering a promotion of an additional 5 cents per pound on most materials, with the exception of steel. Further details can be found in the July edition of the Coupon Post.
Integrity Metals can be reached at 330-721-1992. Their hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
