
Bruce Trogdon and his wife Sabrina started the company 34 years ago when he was just 19 years old. Their original newspaper was called The Chippewa Valley Messenger and serviced the Wadsworth-Rittman area. The name was changed to The Trading Post and then became known simply as The Post and developed into what is now nine different local hometown newspapers. They have three grown children, the oldest of which is Michael Trogdon, executive editor of all of The Post Newspapers.
Greg Studer is a District Circulation Manager with The Post Newspapers. He is responsible for ensuring 100% customer satisfaction with the newspapers' distribution. Greg graduated in 2005 with a degree in Applied Business. He currently resides in Wadsworth with his wife Kathy, son Cole, and two dogs.
Michael Trogdon joined the staff of The Post Newspapers in June 2003 and currently serves as the executive editor. He has a BA degree from Otterbein College in Political Science. Michael also attended Capital University Law School prior to joining The Post. Since joining The Post, he has served as editor and managing editor and also worked as editor of Ohio Standardbred, a harness racing newspaper. After he joined the The Post Newspapers' team, the newspaper chain has been awarded General Excellence twice by the IFPA and twice by AFCP. Michael resides in Medina where he has been a resident for three years.
Michelle Maloney Farnham has been with The Post Newspapers since June 2004. She graduated from Miami University with a degree in business journalism and has been a staff writer, copy editor and now managing editor at The Post. She works with writers, reader submissions, proofreading and the pagination of The Post's nine editions. In 2005, she was awarded second place for her sports feature writing in the Mid-Atlantic Community Papers Editorial Awards Contest. Michelle lives in Medina with her husband, Will.
Tami Cassidy has been with The Post Newspapers since March 1986. Working in the graphics/advertising division, she is passionate about effective advertising, graphic design and quality customer service. Her awards include a MACPA first place win for ad design in the Automotive Ads (Color) category. She has four children and resides in Medina.
Passionate about helping businesses achieve their goals, Tara Leffel graduated summa cum laude from Capital University, majoring in public relations and communications and with minors in public speaking and journalism. She spends her free time with her musician husband and their two children, Aislinn and Finnegan, and is active in her community and philanthropy. Tara is excited that managing sales for The Post Newspapers has brought her back to the community she grew up in (1999 Strongsville High School graduate) and the one in which she raises her children (Brunswick).
Vicki Sulzener has been with The Post Newspapers since September 1998 and multi-tasks as both office manager and front desk receptionist. She also assists with classified advertising. Her long-term employment at The Post Newspapers has given her the knowledge to answer most of your questions with just a single phone call.
Melissa Martin joined The Post Newspaper staff in September 2009. A graduate of Bowling Green State University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in magazine journalism, she is now a staff writer for The North Royalton Post. In addition to writing business stories and features for the publication, she also covers city and school news. Previously, Melissa worked as a reporter for Sun Newspapers, covering the greater Brunswick area, and for Penton Media, where she was an assistant editor for a number of publications, including Food Management, American Machinist and Occupational Hazards. She lives in Brunswick with her husband, Gary, and their three children, Tyler, 9, Joshua, 5, and Leah, 2.

Pamela J. Miller is the Medina edition editor and writes the weekly column “The Buzz Around Town.” She started with The Post Newspapers as a freelance writer in November 2008, progressed to a staff writer in early 2009 and was made edition editor in early 2010. While Pamela primarily covers local government, she takes an interest in just about anything related to the city of Medina. A graduate of The College of Wooster, she currently lives in Medina with her cat, Clodia.
Rob Briggs has been with The Post Newspapers since October 2009. He is a graduate of the Medina County Career Center and has spent more than 15 years in the newspaper business. Rob is the Production Editor with The Post specializing in page layout and advertising composition. He lives in Medina with his wife, Charlotte, and two children, Whalter and Ethan.
Ann Morrison has been with The Post Newspapers since October 2009. She attended Trine University in Indiana, where she graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business. Ann is the associate editor for The Strongsville Post. She resides in Strongsville with her husband, Joel.
Terry Brlas has nearly 20 years of experience in the writing and communications field. He served as a sports writer for a large daily and general assignment reporter for a chain of weekly newspapers. He worked in the fields of corporate and higher education communications where he wrote, edited and designed publications, in addition to managing projects. He won national awards for his writing and design. He is an ardent photographer who loves to capture people and nature. He currently resides in Brunswick with his wife and daughter. Terry also likes to mix in a round of golf with colleagues and friends, weather and time permitting.
Katie Saxon has been with The Post Newspapers since November 2009. She received a B.S. in Journalism from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. She specialized in news writing and editing, and also completed a minor in political science. She is the editor of the Wadsworth Post, and primarily covers Wadsworth city, including the local government, safety forces, school board and other community events. She lives in Wadsworth.
Staff writer Bob Morehead reports for the Norton and Northern Wayne editions of The Post and joined the staff in February 2009. He had previously been managing editor of The Barberton Herald, where he won several awards from the Ohio Newspaper Association, including two first-place awards for original column and shared a first-place award for best feature. He had also been a journalist and photographer for the United States Coast Guard, serving 12 years. He lives in Barberton with his wife, Ida, eldest daughter, Elisa, her daughter, Timara, and five cats.
Elizabeth Sabo is a paginator for The Post and has been with the company since June of 2009. She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kent State University. She lives in Copley with her husband, Matt, her cat, Earl Baker, and her dog, Dresden.
Glenn Wojciak joined The Post Newspapers in 2009. Prior to that, he had worked for Sun Newspapers where he was a news and sports reporter, then editor of the Brunswick Sun Times, The Medina Sun, The Sun Banner Pride and The Montrose Sun. He is a graduate of Brunswick High School and Cleveland State University.
Jaime Anton joined The Post Newspapers' staff in September 2009 as a freelance writer. She earned her degree in communications in 2004 from Cameron University in Oklahoma. Before coming to The Post, Jaime had been a writer for the Sun News where she earned three Excellence in Journalism awards from the Cleveland Press Club, including a first place for breaking news and second place for feature writing in 2006, and a first place for headline writing in 2008. Jaime lives in Brook Park with her husband, Josh, and daughter, Lilyanne.
Lisa Gayle Grayson has been with The Post Newspapers since August 2006 as a freelance sports writer, then joined the department full time in October 2009. She graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in journalism and an outside concentration in exercise and sports sciences. Lisa has been a freelance and full-time staff writer at various publications in Florida and Ohio. She has won numerous national and local writing awards for the Associated Press Sports Editors Association, Ohio Society of Professional Journalists and the Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association. A native of North Royalton, she currently resides in Strongsville.
Todd Stumpf has been with The Post since 2005. He has a master’s degree in communication studies from the University of Akron. Todd began his career at The Post as a sports staff writer and is now sports editor. In a journalism career that has spanned 20 years, he has won more than 60 awards, including three state writer of the year honors. Todd lives with his wife Nikki, and their dog, Floyd.
Matt Dexter has been with The Post Newspapers since May 2006. He graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene/Saint Leo University with a degree in Accounting/Mathematics and is the accountant at The Post.

Bob and his wife Therese reside in Medina and have four children.
Diane Chaffee has worked in the display advertising sales department since June of 2003. Her background in Social Services at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron and in membership sales at the Akron BBB have been instrumental in her sales success at The Post. Diane increased the volume of advertisers in Medina from 2003 to 2006, which enabled delivery of The Post to homes in Medina in April 2006. Diane continues to work with current and new businesses in Medina County to help them grow and thrive. Diane lives in Sharon Township with her husband, Michael.
Jerry Obney, senior marketing consultant, is an eight-year veteran with The Post. Jerry has spent his entire career in sales and marketing. He resides with his wife Betty in Doylestown.

Karl Gerhard has been marketing his own businesses and helping others to operate and market theirs for the past 25 years. After attending the University of Cincinnati, Karl began a career with Subway as a managing partner and then as a franchisee, owning and operating the 3 units surrounding the UC campus. He went on to become a franchise consultant after sucessfully running his franchises for 15 years. He spent the past 4 years as a national account sales representative. Karl lives and resides in Medina with his wife Yvette and sons Sam and Jake. He is active in Boy Scouts of America and loves coaching soccer in the MSA.
Ken Schulz joined The Post in October of 2008 as a marketing consultant. For many years, he was the guy "placing ads," having been in sales management in the automobile business. Ken majored in graphic arts at Kent State University and has produced a variety of newsletters and point of sale marketing materials for a number of local businesses and clubs. A certified motorcycle instructor, Ken spends many summer weekends teaching motorcycle safety. He and his wife Teri reside in Medina.
Ryan Tirk spent the last 6 years owning and operating his own small business in Berea, Ohio. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years in Print Sales and Production for two of the largest commercial printers in Ohio. Ryan graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Print Sales & Management. He lives in Strongsville with his wife and three children.
Sue Messisco joined The Post Newspapers team in August of 2009 and brings a wealth of marketing and advertising experience. She attended Ithaca College and then enjoyed 14 successful years as market manager of operations for News America Marketing in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia; five years as a skilled nursing care marketing director; and several years in print advertising sales with Gusto Marketing and Sun News. Sue combines her experience with her passion for print advertising to provide her customers with targeted advertising plans that produce measurable results. She has three grown sons and lives with her husband, Kirby, in Brecksville.

Whitney Willard has been a graphic designer at The Post Newspapers since July 2010. She graduated from Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in graphic design. She also batted leadoff and played left field for the Division I Viking softball team. At the 2009 Associated Press Society of Ohio Awards she won 1st place for best graphics artist, 1st and 3rd place for best illustration, 3rd place and honorable-mention for best informational graphic, and also worked on graphics and layout design in the 1st place best special sports section for the Ashland Times-Gazette.
