John T. Maske

John Makse, Sr, 48, of Medina, passed away March 22, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born in Cleveland on Oct. 11, 1964 to Theodore W. Makse and Marcella J Opalka.

He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during Grenada and was a member of the VFW Post in Brunswick. John played the drums since the age of four and was a member of two bands, Bangkok Train Wreck and Scratch Cut, and he loved to write and record his own music. He was a member of Grace Church in Bath and enjoyed riding his Harley.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Toni M. (Grant) Makse; loving children, John Theodore “JT” Makse, Jr., Shaun Douglas (Katie) and Wesley James Makse; step-children, Shane Esaly and Justin Bretz; mother, Marcella Shaw; father, Theodore (Karen “Sue”) Makse; sisters, Pattrisha Howell-Fowler, Dora Ann Makse and Rhonda (Jim) Parmertor; brother, James “Bub” Makse; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
