I just want to thank North Royalton for all your support

To the Editor:

I just wanted to thank the entire North Royalton community for its recent support of the fourth annual Operation North Royalton Cares. Because of your continued generosity we will be able to help a large number of families of students who are in need of basic school supplies in our community this year.

What makes North Royalton such a great place to live is how we come together to help our friends and neighbors who are in need during these tough economic times. I want to give special thanks to the North Royalton City School District, City of North Royalton Office on Aging and Human Services, North Royalton Kiwanis Club, St. Albert the Great Church, Royalton Recorder, The 3 Spot, North Royalton Family YMCA and all the other individuals who helped make this program a continued success!

In closing, I would like to note there have been recently some drastic cuts by the federal government to programs that people in need turn to for assistance. You don’t have to wait for the next food drive or program to make a donation to the North Royalton Food Bank. If you like to make a donation of non-perishable food items, you can drop them off anytime during normal office hours at the city Office on Aging and Human Services located at 13500 Ridge Road.

Thank you.
