Nancy A. Rastorfer

Nancy A. Rastorfer, 62, of Rittman, died unexpectedly June 22, 2019, following a day spent with her family celebrating her nephew’s life at a Rubber Ducks game in Akron.

Nancy was born Sept. 17, 1956, in Wadsworth to Fred and Sara (née Carlo) Rastorfer, graduated from Rittman High School with the class of 1975 and served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War in Stuttgart, Germany. She worked a variety of different jobs for Myers Industries for over 30 years, retiring on her 62nd birthday in 2018. Nancy enjoyed playing sports in her youth and in golf and softball leagues with her friends after returning from the Army. Not having children of her own, she loved spending time with her niece, Laura, and nephew Adam, with whom she was very close. In her free time, she also enjoyed going to local casinos with friends.

Surviving are brother and sister-in-law, Fred Vickie Rastorfer, of Rittman; niece, Laura Rastorfer, of Rittman; and dog, Jessi, and cat, Skittles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Adam J. Rastorfer, who passed away June 22, 2018.
