Robert B. Herron, 65, passed away on Feb. 18, 2012. He was born Aug. 12, 1946 in Cleveland.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife Sunny; daughters Christi Herron Bochat and son-in-law Eric of California and Nicole Nash Kruggel and son-in-law Timothy of Virginia; brothers Richard of Elyria, Charles of Rocky River and David of Kentucky; grandchildren Brandon, Jonathan, Kaylynn, Emma, Elliot, and Ella; and his service dog "Shilo." Robert was a U.S. Marine who served in Vietnam. He loved running, motorcycling, wave runner jet skiing and adored his family, friends and honored his country.

Virginia R. Hanlon, 72, passed away Feb. 20, 2012 at Akron City Hospital. Virginia was born March 30, 1939 in Manhattan, N.Y. to Edward R. Cusick and Lillian A. Rundle Cusick. She grew up in New York City and had many fond memories of her childhood there. She graduated from The Northfield School for Girls in Vermont. She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech and drama from Mary Washington College of Virginia and later obtained a Master of Arts degree from the University of Akron in theatre arts management.

Margaret Labik, 85, of Wadsworth, passed away peacefully Feb. 14, 2012. She was preceded in death by parents John and Susie Labik and brother Milan Labik. She is survived by son Terry (Diane) Bloemer and daughter Paige (John) Nell, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was proud of her Slovak heritage and well known for her cooking and Christmas cookies. She loved crocheting afghans for each family member and gardening. Her quirky sense of humor and hearty laugh will be missed. Cremation has taken place and there will be no memorial services.

He was born in Kingsley Corner, Ohio on March 29, 1932 to Lofton and Reba (Arndt) Lowe and had resided in the Sullivan area for most of his life, graduating from Sullivan High School in 1950.

Georgia M. Keller of Brunswick Hills went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on her 90th birthday, Friday, Feb. 17, 2012. Georgia was born Feb. 17, 1922 in Columbus, Ohio to the late George and Lorena Fortner. She moved to Medina County in 1945. Georgia had worked as the manager at the former Lawson Dairy Store at the corner of Pearl Road and Route 42, Brunswick for eight years. She than received her realtor license and worked for the former Bishop Realty for 14 years. Georgia had volunteered with the Brunswick Hills Fire Department auxiliary for many years. Some hobbies she enjoyed were craft projects, making candies and crocheting.

Arthur W. Wootton, 77, of Chippewa Lake, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012. He was born on March 14, 1934 to Alfred W. and Mary E. (nee Saintinoy) in Cambridge, Ohio. After graduating from Williamson High School in West Virginia in 1952, he attended Washington Jefferson College and earned a B.S. in English, going on to Ohio State and passed the Ohio law bar exam in 1968. Wootton was a veteran of the United States Army, and also served 20 years with Ohio National Guard and retired with the rank of major.

She was also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter Heather.

Carl Joseph Hamer

Joe Hamer, 74, passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at Hospice of Medina County Care Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Aug. 27, 1937 in Lewistown, Pa. to the late Archie Grant and LoDema Mae (Buttolph) Hamer. Joe graduated from Medina High School class of 1955. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and later the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly in Korea. He worked for National Disposer, Goodrich Tire and was a partner in The Video and Computer Place. He was a kind husband, an amazing father and a compassionate grandfather and most importantly the best of friends. He was a devoted Cleveland sports enthusiast. Joe never lost his loyalty, especially for the Cleveland Indians, ever hopeful for the coming season. He seldom missed a game. To this day and for years to come his name is etched in stone outside of Progressive Field, an appropriate symbol for such a loyal man.

Dorcas G. (Simshauser) Lowe, age 78, previously of Wadsworth, passed away Feb. 5, 2012. She was born Feb. 7, 1933 to the late L.C. and Rubie Emerick. Dorcas was known for having a big heart and always giving to others. She was a certified welder for many years and worked for Voss Finned Tube. She enjoyed painting, cooking and horseback riding.
