To the Editor:
Democratic Socialism is an oxy-moron. According to the dictionary, it is a contradictory term, a clever remark, more pointedly witty for seeming absurd or foolish.
What does that tell you about presidential candidate Bernie Sanders lauding himself a Democratic Socialist? It has become a catchy slogan and the continuous use of this absurd noun has no credibility and yet his followers and the media give him a pass.
The naiveté and inexperience of the college students is somewhat understood, but what excuse does the media have? This is what should come to mind: "What part of Democratic Socialism is democratic?" Not free this and free that, but having the knowledge and knowing the difference between socialism and democracy.
The followers of Sanders face the consequences of a dire future and will become their destiny.
