To the Editor:
Since I have always been a "silver lining" kind of person, it occurs to me that the enforced closeness we're experiencing with our families is a golden opportunity not to be squandered.
Finally, there is enough time to rediscover each other. Instead of sending the kids off to the TV or computer, talk to them and listen to them. Read aloud and let them read to you. This is quality one-on-one time with your children and I think it would be foolish to squander it.
Parents are the first and primary teachers of our kids, so take back your place of importance in their lives. Now is your chance to mold and shape your child's character, morality and future.
Converse and connect with your children while you can. Such opportunities are rare and they grow up so quickly!
