March 6 - Lonny Rapalo, 26, of North Lyman Street, was arrested for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Rapalo reportedly failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested. He was charged with OVI and prohibited BAC.

March 6 - A 22-year-old Auble Street woman reported that someone had stolen her vehicle. The victim told police she and her boyfriend had fallen asleep and the vehicle was taken at that time. She also told police that her 27-year-old roommate might have taken the vehicle, but that she did not give him permission to do so. She told police she would like to press charges against the man.

March 5 - Police stopped a vehicle on Akron Road for failing to use a turn signal and weaving. When the officer approached the driver, he reportedly noticed the man stashing something behind his seat and then saw two beer cans, one of which was open. The driver consented to a search of his person and vehicle, at which time police reportedly found a small bag of marijuana and smoking pipe on his person, as well as another open beer can that belonged to the passenger. The driver, Andrew Staufer, 22, of Medina, was charged with open container, drug abuse and drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Mary McNeill, 21, of Akron, was charged with open container.

March 4 - Susan Holland, 50, of Norton, was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal $477.25 worth of groceries from Giant Eagle.

March 4 - Brian Meredith, 46, of Copley, was arrested for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after Norton police notified Wadsworth about a possibly intoxicated driver that had just left the scene of a Norton domestic dispute. Meredith was stopped in the Grizzly Mart parking lot and reportedly failed several field sobriety tests. Once back at the police station, he reportedly registered a 0.159 blood-alcohol content. He was charged with OVI and prohibited BAC. His vehicle was towed.

March 4 - A 40-year-old South Pardee Street woman reported that someone broke in to her house between Feb. 25 and March 4 and stole her credit card. The victim reported that the suspect had charged $755 to the stolen credit card.

March 4 - Kristopher Fritch, 31, of Alliance, was arrested for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, no operator's license and public indecency.

March 3 - Brett Blanc, 22, of Fixler Road, was arrested on a warrant out of the Medina County Sheriff's office for reportedly trafficking in drugs.

March 3 - Someone broke out the back windshield of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Main Street. Nothing appeared to be missing from inside the vehicle.

March 3 - Police responded to the Blazin 777 Internet cafe, located at 400 Main Street, after the building's owner reported that she had not heard from the tenant who rented the space for Blazin 777 for some time and that several men were currently removing machines from the building. Police confirmed that the men were in fact removing the machines from the business and inquired as to the reason. A man who identified himself as an employee was reportedly argumentative with officers and said that he could only give police the owner's name if they wanted more information. Police asked for the man's identification and learned that he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Norton. Sam Nazmi Khaleq, 39, of Cleveland, was arrested and turned over to Norton Police.

March 3 - A 32-year-old Sandpiper Lane woman reported that someone stole her identity and that she recently received a collection notice in the amount of $1,166.37 for unpaid cable services in Las Vegas. The victim told police that she had never lived in Las Vegas or even visited the city.

March 2 - Police responded to a home in the 400 block of Farr Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute between two juveniles. After investigating, police charged one of the juveniles, a 17-year-old boy, with domestic violence and transported him to the Medina County Juvenile Detention Center.

March 2 - James Noble, 21, of Creston, was arrested for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired after he was pulled over for not having his headlights on while driving at night. The officer reportedly noticed the smell of alcohol on Noble and he reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the night. After he was arrested and taken to the police station, he reportedly registered a 0.040 blood-alcohol content, followed by a 0.036 BAC. Police asked if he had taken any medication or illegal drugs and Noble reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day, so a urine sample was also taken. He was charged with OVI and no headlights.

March 1 - Police responded to a home in the 200 block of First Street after a 15-year-old girl living at the home reported being harassed via telephone by another juvenile. Charges are pending further investigation and review by the Medina county Juvenile Prosecutor's office.

March 1 - Sandra Goers, 58, of Stover Court, was arrested and charged with felony theft after she allegedly attempted to steal $611.34 worth of groceries from Giant Eagle.

March 1 - Joel Hart, 26, of Cleveland, was arrested on several warrants including probation violations, failure to appear, OVI, fleeing the scene and weapons charges. He was apprehended at a home in the 600 block of Orchard Street after a woman who identified herself as his girlfriend told police he was hiding in a back room.
