What's the scoop?

NORTH ROYALTON – For the fourth year in a row, Ward 3 Councilman Dan Langshaw is hosting his annual summer social, this time at Memorial Park’s lower pavilion, 14600 State Road, from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3.

Langshaw will be providing free pizza, wings, pasta salad, chips and drinks. There will also be yard games such as cornhole, bocce ball and ring toss. Residents will also have the chance to mingle with neighbors, and there will be a special appearance by the North Royalton Fire Department for kids. Langshaw said it’s also the perfect opportunity to check out the recent improvements to Memorial Park: the new lake fountain, playground and city hall.

This annual ward event is shaping up to be a Ward 3 tradition, which Langshaw said was his intention from the start.

Though a free event, Langshaw is encouraging guests to consider making a donation at the social to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association, a cause that’s near and dear to the fire department.

“It’s a winning combination of having fun and making a difference at the same time,” he said.

The event will be hosted rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, the social will move indoors to city hall’s community room.

No RSVP is needed. For more information, contact Langshaw at ward3@northroyalton.org or call 440-785-4240.
