Why choose Tulsi Gabbard to be the next U.S. president
To the Editor:
On March 17, Ohioans will choose the presidential nominees. Please consider Hawaii Congresswoman Major Tulsi Gabbard.
Tulsi is respected across the political spectrum. To illustrate her abilities in the second presidential debate in under 30 seconds, Tulsi ended the presidential run of the top Democratic contender Kamala Harris. I was sure that night Tulsi would become a powerful politician. I did not foresee the level to which the DNC and the media would go through to silence Tulsi.
At 21 years old, Tulsi stepped down from the Hawaii legislature to serve in a medical unit during the peak of the Iraq war. Tulsi got her college degree on the GI Bill, taking correspondence courses in an Army tent while serving in Iraq.
In 2012, Tulsi ran for U.S. Congress on ending the Afghanistan war. In 2013 a young unknown Tulsi stood up alone to an untouchable president and a power SOS of her own party over regime change in Libya.
Tulsi has been right in Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. Only Tulsi has been consistent against these wasteful wars during both Democratic and Republican administrations.
The media and our politicians love our veterans when they are fighting and dying in wars that only benefit the few but hate our soldiers when they return and share their stories. This is evident by the number of veterans who commit suicide and who are homeless.
Tulsi also has been a leader on many issues such as the environment, which predates the Green New Deal. Please visit her website to learn more about Tulsi.
Tulsi does not take PAC Money. Only Tulsi has the courage to be a leader for and by the people.
